A rich formatting model enables developers to control display formatting in a number of ways, providing many predefined formats as well as custom format for those cases when more flexibility is required.
Data Bound, Strongly Typed Controls

Most Input for WinForms controls provide a typed Value property that is specifically designed to be data bound and supports automatic typing determined by the data field.
Powerful and Customizable Masked Editing Capabilities

The C1TextBox control and its derived controls (C1DateEdit and C1NumericEdit) provide very powerful and flexible masked editing mode. Just set one property to a mask string composed of placeholders and literals to enable masked input. You can also define your own placeholders. The edit mask enhances the UI by preventing end-users from entering invalid characters into the control.
Enforce Data Consistency with Validation

Pre-validation allows you to check raw input text, while post-validation enables to verify that the value falls within a specific interval, compare it against lists of allowed or excluded values, and more.
